Wear Jeans for Jordan this #GivingTuesday

Hartford, CT, November 12, 2017 – We are just over two weeks away from one of the biggest giving days of the holiday season: #GivingTuesday. This year it is on Tuesday November 28, 2017.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. In the U.S. #GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, kicking off the charitable giving season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

We are inviting you to participate in the Jordan Porco Foundation’s 2017 #GivingTuesday Jeans for Jordan campaign. We need your support. The sad reality is that the rate of suicides across the lifespan has increased by nearly 8% since 2011. Your support counters the energy that leads young adults to a state of hopelessness by helping our efforts to design a space that promotes compassion, help-seeking, and support.

Participating is comfortable, easy, and vital! Here’s how. Give dollars to our online campaign, here. Then, take a picture in your jeans and post it on social media using the hashtag #Jeans4Jordan. Make sure your post is public so we can find it. We will add pictures of the many supporters making-up our #GivingTuesday caring community to show how together our denim and donations are making a big difference in creating a message of hope for young adults.

You can help us engage more people in our Jeans for Jordan #GivingTuesday campaign by sharing this information. Every person, every dollar, every day makes an impact. Help us make an impact this #GivingTuesday and beyond.
