Nearly 30,000 students participated in Fresh Check Days across the country and received vital mental health and suicide prevention messaging. Additionally, the Connecticut National Guard hosted their fifth annual Fresh Check Day for soldiers in the Recruit Sustainment Program. Despite continued growth, Fresh Check Day continues to produce consistent impact results from year to year.4 Whats Next 16 sites participated in the final round of pilots for the 4 Whats Next program in 2018, reaching over 150 student participants. 84% of pilot participants said they felt more prepared to handle stress and distress after 4 Whats Next. Both student and facilitator feedback confirmed the programs value and impact. After several years of piloting and revisions, 4 Whats Next celebrated its official launch in January of 2019.Nine out of Ten35 college students across the country participated as Nine out of Ten Ambassadors in 2018. Grant funding from the Connecticut DPH allowed for paid social media promotion and participant incentives.
