Spread the Word

LET’S TALK.

It’s time to talk about suicide and mental health and mental illness openly. Tell your story or the story of someone you know. One important thing we’ve learned since Jordan took his own life in February of 2011, is that, ironically, it will be Jordan’s generation that changes this conversation, and changes the perception about life threatening mental health disorders, and the possible tragic results of extreme stress.

With each conference we attend, with each meeting where we witness the input of the current student population, we realize that this will be the generation that pulls this into a new normal — much like the AIDS discussion progression from the early 80s until now.

We have confidence in our nation’s youth. We have belief that there is compassion and openness within this generation that will make a difference in this area of our lives. We have hope.
